Self-control: 自制心 (jisei-shin)
Goodness: 善 (zen)
Heaven: 天国 (tengoku)
Jesus Christ: イエス・キリスト (Iesu Kirisuto)

What do you mean by "reference"?
Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message

Anonymous
Posted on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 - 06:02 am:

reference is where the quote acutally comes from, the verse location in the Bible. When we quote a verse, we say where it is found (ex. 1 Corinthians 9:24) then quote the verse. From what I could tell in comparing the scripture, all you gave was the actually verse, but I need to add the location of 1 Corinthians 9:24 to make it complete.

Well, if you're talking about an abbreviation, then it would be written, well, ABC. Or, if you want it to be more fancy, I'll need the next letter in each word.

If you're just talking about letters, you can't. Well, except a.

A = ア
B = You can't
C = You can't

That's just how it is...

Excellent forum, and keep up the good work. You are helping to make this world a more tolerant and closely knit place to live in your own special way. . .

I've been told that the Japanese symbols for Mari and truth are the same. Is that true? What is the symbol?

Hi, i've heard that there are alot of different meanings in japanese symbol writing depending on how the symbol is made and also the thought behind the symbol. From what i've heard Japanese people can tell this difference and if it is not created correctly it will be interperated as wrong or "uncool". Is this true? And how can you obtain a true symbol for a word?

Hello.
I was wondering...
What are the characters/symbols for the following phrase:
Thank you very much teacher.

I think this is translated from:
Domo Arigato sensei

But then again, I don't really know. Please feel free to correct me.

Thanks.
