The symbol is not "real" Japanese in that the first kanji character is normally not used today. It probably is used in Chinese, but I don't know. The only information I can give you is that it symbolizes health.

The second one resembles the character meaning "mouth" but it looks more like a square to me. It lacks consistency in size.

My personal opinion: It is not Japanese -- and it may not have any meaning at all, just pseudo-Japanese or pseudo-Chinese written by someone who doesn't know either language.
