Ms. Anon, or anyone really!

Another breast cancer survivor here, considering a kanji tattoo. I saw Ms. Anon's earlier discussion on "survivor" vs "battle". Any other suggestions? I'm pretty young for cancer (32), so maybe something denoting young warrior/battler/survivor???

And I need to "see" the answers, please, I couldn't see the symbol for "battle" in the earlier discussion.

Thanks so much for your assistance!

Warrior for you? Then, it's : 闘士 (read "toushi")

There is another "toushi": 闘志
This means "spirit to take on battle/challenge"

My best friend is also a cancer survivor, and I wish you the best of luck and happiness for years to come!

Thanks for the well wishes too!!

OR he's also considering the word "Courage" ...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

They look beautiful! His appt is at 4:00pm today to get it done.

As an aside for myself, could you translate the name "Gary" into a symbol? I might consider getting a third small tattoo.

Much gratitude!

There is no symbol for just "sister," but there is one for "older sister" or "younger sister." To find either of those, do a search.

Joyce in Japanese is:

Ms Anon,
I saw an an earlier post, remember deceased father. Can you do remember deaceased mother? She is Japanese. Her name is Yukiko. Can you also do her name? I was just going to use snow, but I wasn't sure since it's her name that it would be written differently. Can you also do one for the name is Ray. I was thinking Sun ray or rays of the sun would work. I already have love tattooed. I am putting my mom's name on one side, and eventually, my dad's name on the other.

I would appreciate if you did them in the thick, fancier font you've used earlier on a white background as an image since I am using IE.

domo arrigato!!!

The one I have looks like the one you have here with the word lily (only mine is vertical). Why would the two be similar but definitely different? Or is one wrong?

Dear Matjlav,
I found a japanese forum for name translation. I read all the responses which were from you. So I would like to ask you a big favor. Could you please translate Brianna?

I went to Japan as an exchange student when I was 14 yrs old to Kaizu, Japan. I absolutely loved it and have ever since wanted my name written in Japanese Kanji symbols in calligraphy. I wanted it for a tattoo of course. If you could please, please, please translate my name Brianna in kanji calligraphy symbols, I would greatly appreciate it. Also if you could make it big so that I can take it with me. Thank yu so much for your time and effort in advance.

thanks you very very much.
how often do english names translate into japanese well? if someone would like, they are welcomed to email me, so that since i probably have some questions, then it wouldnt be a conversation that would span over a long period of time. since i will be lacking use of the internet after this weekend, (bills are stacking up a convenience i can't afford anymore)
but if you'd like my email is ShiningSun00@hotmail.com would be highly appreciated
