I currently work for a company called TG Minto (found in Palmerston, Ontario, Canada). The company works under Toyota, and so is managed by Japanese staff. I've worked there for a year, and wish to leave for school in the fall.

Anyways, more to the point, I would like to say farewell in Japanese. I figured it would be nice to finally say something to them in their language, after all the time they spoke to me in (oft broken, unintelligible) English. :-)

What I would like to say is something like "It was an honour to work for you." I found a translator, and came up with this:

それはあなたのために働く名誉だった

Is this an accurate translation of what I want to say? If not, could you correct it, and also post the pronunciation.

My thanks,

Ryan Mawdsley

No, not really. Did you use one of those systran translators? You should never use those for complex sentences like that.

各方と働くのにより私は謙遜になった。

That could mean what you're trying to say. It means something like, "Working with you has humbled me" or something.
