fire = hi/honoo
earth = tsuchi
wind = kaze
light = hikari
dark = yami

as for the Kanji, right now I don't have the time to post them... sorry.

火 hi = fire (prounounced like 'hee')
炎 honoo = flame or blaze

Important distinction: 'hi' is used when talking about fire as a method (eg, cooking food with fire), but if you want to talk about the actual fire that is happening, then it is the word 'kaji' (eg, there is a fire in the building).
