I am going to Japan for 6 weeks, and i was wondering if i need to learn a lot of japanese before i go, since i will be going to school there. Do kids in Japanese highschools speak any english, or will i have to take a class?? Thanks :-)

Well, does your school have a foreign language class? (French, Spanish?) Do they speak that language well?

That should give you an idea of the answer to your question.

All high schools teach English. However, the number of students that are able to converse is not very high.
