well seeing as no one here HELPS!!!
had to do the research.. by the way it is 5:07 AM and me = very sleepy...
the characters are hiragana
the first is chi = ground;earth;place;location; blood
the second is yu = hot water... (?)
the third is ru = nothing in my dictionary...

I found chiru and was wondering if I could just do chiru (fall;scatter;disperse) + yu (hot water) = falling hot water, scatter hot water, or disperse hot watter... ? heh doubt it but..

I talked with some Japanese people and was told it means absolutely nothing... so all I can say is... hmph...
<sigh>

Dude, you need to chill out a bit. You just posted it at 9:30pm of all times and expect people to just pop up with answers for you...

Anyway, it says "churu", and that means absolutely nothing. Where did you see it? You just make it up and then decide to ask some japanese people/people at this forum if they thought it meant anything?

i'm confused...

\(゜ロ\)ココハドコ? (/ロ゜)/アタシハダアレ?

Also, you will almost never get meaning from just looking at hiragana without ANY context. For example, "chi" can mean "blood", "know", and other things. "yu" can mean "oil", "hot water", etc., but in this case, it's a "small 'yu'".

Small anythings in japanese writing usually change the pronounciation of the syllable immediately before it. In this case: "chi+little yu" would be "chu".

Other examples of this:
ちゃ (chi+little ya = cha)
ちょ (chi+little yo = cho)

The "ya" column when combined with anything in the "i" row (excluding "i" itself) will yield this kind of result. The reason for this is the similarity in pronounciation of "y" and "i".

Examples:
き+ゃ = きゃ (ki + little ya = kya)
し+ゃ = しゃ (shi + little ya = sha)
ち+ゃ = しゃ (chi + little ya = cha)
に+ゃ = しゃ (ni + little ya = nya)
ひ+ゃ = しゃ (hi + little ya = hya)
み+ゃ = しゃ (mi + little ya = mya)
り+ゃ = りゃ (ri + little ya = rya)

Heh. I was not getting worked up. I was just bored and felt like posting pointless posts. I did not make this up. It came from an avatar I have. The avatar is of a blob eating noodles with chopsticks, and these characters are flashing over its head... I am glad to hear from someone. Sorry if I seemed a little impatient. Thanks a lot!:-)

Okay, in that case, it's the sound that the artist thought the eating of the noodles is.
