Hiya. I am junior in high school and would like to study Japanese when I go to college, because it is part of my background and I have a passion for and natural ability with language; however, I'm not sure if I should take more literary classes, to become a translator, or more conversational classes, to become an interpretor. Also, a foreign language teacher at my school advised me to double major or minor in a subject such as foreign banking or foreign policy: is that good advice? I know I have a year yet to decide, but it will be gone in no time at all.
Thanks for your help.
