However, i don't really know wat is famous in kanagawa. So would any kind soul help me with this. The prefecture plays an important role in the modernization of Japan -- the country was closed to the outside world until Commodore Perry arrived in Kanagawa in 1853 (I think -- I'm not good at dates). Anyway, you can search the Net for a lot of information with keywords such as: Yokohama (capital of the prefecture), Kamakura (seat of the Kamakura shogunate) and Yokosuka (the city with a major US Navy base).
