After returned back, he became the head of Iraqi Olympic committees. In 1996, an attempt to assassinate him has shortly failed but his leg paralysed. In 2000, due to his bad reputation, Saddam chose Qusay as his heir. He was killed by American troops in July 2003 at Mosul. | |
