explanation: Born in Manchuria on September 14, 1935, he returned back to Japan after WWII. He was a resident of the famous dormitory for mangaka, Tokiwaso in Tokyo. He had published many manga for small publishers and dojinshi but his first hit came from Osomatsukun, a gag around young sextuplets, on Shonen Sunday in April 1962. "Himitsu no Akkochan" published on Ribon was another hit. Though virtually unknown outside Japan, he has been one of the most influential mangaka of 60s and 70s.
