Manga vs Anime

Some people like reading the manga, others want to watch the anime. But both styles are vastly different as manga requires a greater investment of imagination. Which do you prefer, manga or anime?

Re: Manga vs Anime

I like them both, primarily for the difference in representation. I prefer anime when it comes to showing action and deep emotional dialogue. I prefer manga when it comes to the sheer amount of information to process and the ability to take my time with what I am seeing without having to manipulate buttons.

More recently, I have read some manga of shows which had been translated into anime. And, I find the experience to be completely different and enjoyable than watching the animated version. I like how each moment is frozen in time and you can simply assimilate it at your own pace and it doesn't just go flying by as it would in anime which is often fast paced. But, then again, I feel limited by the view points if the artist and illustrator has not taken the time to show various 'camera angles' in each scene.
