Hey everyone, I was hoping to ask your advice, as experts, and someone who obviously has a very deep appreciation and understanding of Japanese culture. My fiancée and I are getting married this June. We met in Japan, so I'd like to make one of the readings at the wedding somewhat relevant to our time over there. I've been searching through all kinds of Japanese poetry and song lyrics trying to find something fitting, but I'm finding that most Japanese love prose is very wistful and/or sad. I was wondering if maybe you would happen to know of a sweet poem or passage of Japanese origin that deals with the subject of love in a non-depressing way :). An English translation would definitely be a bonus, if its available. I very much appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks so much, and all the best! Mike PS Hope this is on-topic! |
